In addition to project management activities, the construction management team throughout the construction phase coordinates and supervises field activities, ensuring their adherence to the contractual clauses, drawings, technical specifications and project timing. Depending on the complexity of the work, the construction management team can make use of the different roles below:

— The construction manager directs and organizes construction operations within the construction site and coordinates the completion of the build and testing activities with the start-up team until the final handover.

— The safety supervisor has the task of coordinating the intervention of the contractors on site to guarantee the application of the provisions contained in the safety plans and in the relative work procedures.

— The field discipline supervisor coordinates and manages the on-site activities performed by the contractors of his discipline.

— The field project engineer is responsible for coordinating the engineering activities between the back office and the on site construction team.

— The project controller is responsible for all project cost control and planning activities.

— Specialists provide the technical support and follow-up as necessary to allow contractors to develop their field activities correctly.

— Document controllers / CDE managers draw up all the documentary procedure, from assistance in the creation of the books and as-builts in charge of the contractors with subsequent formal delivery to the client. The activities can be managed through the document sharing and approval platform.
